How to collect reviews with Star Testimonials

In this guide we’ll show you how you can collect reviews from your website visitors in two fast and easy ways using Star Testimonials – with a submit review button on your website or through a shareable link you can send to your community. It’s no secret that collecting reviews is crucial for the development of any business, new or already established. By gathering feedback from your community, you can not only strengthen your weaker points, but also learn from your community – what they want and need from you.

It’s equally important to display reviews for your business, so that you can encourage new customers and proudly display your experience and progress.

How to collect reviews by showing a submit review button on your website

To start collecting reviews from your website visitors by showing a button under your widget, first, click on the Star Testimonials plug-in in your WordPress dashboard and select ”All Widget Shortcodes”. 

You will see all your Star Testimonials widgets here. Now click on the ”Edit” action next to the shortcode you want to edit.

In the page that will open, look for the ”Collect testimonials from your visitors” option. This functionality that will allow you to collect reviews from your website visitors by showing a button under your testimonials widget. To activate it, make sure you toggle the button to the right to turn it on. When you’re done, don’t forget to click on the pink ”Finish” button to make sure your changes will be saved accordingly.

After your website visitors submit a review, their feedback will be added to your ”Collect testimonials” page for preview.

When you preview your new review, you can either approve or decline it.

How to collect reviews using a shareable link

To start collecting reviews using a shareable link, click on the Star Testimonials plug-in in your WordPress dashboard and select ”Collect testimonials”.

In the page that will open, look for the ”Direct link to collect testimonials” option.

Now, simply click on ”Copy link” and send the link to your community so that they can leave a review for you. When your website visitors click on the link, the page that will open will look like this:

If you approve it, the review will be added to your website (just make sure you include it in your testimonials widget, as shown in the previous step).
