How to add Chatway Live Chat channel to Chaty?

Chaty plugin allows you to add multiple social channels, such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, and 20+ other social platforms, to your website, helping you connect with visitors via their preferred communication channels whereas Chatway plugin adds live chat functionality to your website, enabling real-time conversations with your audience.

Since Chaty and Chatway are fully compatible with each other, in this guide, we will show you how to integrate Chatway with Chaty to add a Live Chat channel to your Chaty widget.

Step 1 – Go to your WordPress Dashboard > Chaty and click on edit next to the widget you wish to edit.

Step 2 – On the first step which is “Select channels”, click on Add Live Chat.

Step 3 – Click “Add Live Chat” button in the popup

Step 4 – Since Chaty uses Chatway to provide the Live Chat functionality, you will be directed to your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins to install the Chatway plugin in a different tab on your browser.

Step 5 – Once the Chatway plugin is activated, you will be redirected to the Chatway Dashboard, where you need to Sign Up and complete the onboarding steps.

This is how the Chatway Dashboard will look once the onboarding is done.

Step 6 – Go back to the previous browser tab where you were editing the Chaty widget and there you will spot a popup in which you can select the option to set the placement of your live chat icon.

Step 7 – You will start seeing the Live Chat channel in the list of already added channels.

There are many customizable options you get to style the icon as per your liking. You can change the icon by using pre-added images, or you can upload your own. You can also change the viewing method, change the hover text, and also the icon’s background color.

Step 8 – After making all the customizations, click on the “Save Widget” button, and now when you will check your website, you will see the Live Chat icon inside the Chaty widget.

That’s all!
